There are several of my pre class videos that I have done in the prior to starting this class. My first one and my only video is this compilation is from last year was on the only snow day of last year where I made a notable catch of fastly approaching northeast regional train 125 bound for Newport News. The P42 in particular is an interesting one. In 2011 to celebrate Amtrak’s 40th Birthday gave several locomotives special paint schemes to mark a specific era of amtrak. Engines 135 and 140 mark the early rainbow era of amtrak during early 1970s the name deriving from the vast mix of inherited passenger coaches from railroads that wanted to get rid of their passenger services.

A little later last year on a crisp late autumn day I am out and about waiting for my train back home. During that time the usual weekday evening rush plays out. Vre trains tend to be very mundane with few variation between each vre trains. Nevertheless they make good target practice for improving shots like this one below.
